Q  How can Boxercise help me to get fit?

A.  Whether you have boxed before or are a complete novice and simply want to enjoy a fresh and feisty new to exercise, boxercise offers a wealth of key fitness benefits that will soon have you punching your way towards a healthier lifestyle...

Boxercise strengthens upper-body muscles - Although it is fully non-contact, boxercise still builds strong upper-body force. Training techniques such as shadow-boxing and punch mitt workouts help to boost key muscles in the arms and shoulders, as well as improving the body’s capacity for explosive power.

Q Will I be able to keep up as a novice?

A.  Boxercise could really help you to develop your staying power. With many of its exercises anaerobic in nature, boxercise is great for improving stamina in the heart and lungs. If you’re looking to keep on the move for longer in your daily life, boxercise could really help you to develop such staying power. You do not have to be the fittest person in the world an in my classes you can go at your own pace and rest when you want.

Q I have high stress levels in my job will your classes help?

A.  Let’s face it, we all live stressful lives at some point. As a result, it’s so easy to get angry and frustrated at the drop of a hat. Thankfully, boxercise offers a way to channel this aggression into positive exercise. The stress it releases is very channelled, funnelling your fury into a productive workout whilst getting a few things off your chest. After punching your way through an intensive session, the chances are you’ll feel a whole lot calmer.

Q  I have no coordination and balance!  Will I be able to do your classes ok?

A.  Yes!  Everyone has to start somewhere and my classes are for all ability levels.  If balance is not your strong point and your co-ordination needs to improve, then finding your centre of gravity could help in developing your poise and agility in both your hands and your feet,  you’ll be feeling more nimble in no time...

Q  I have a lack of self-discipline, how can Boxercise help?

A.   If you’re the kind of person who constantly struggles over the simplest of decisions, boxercise could help to improve your self-discipline by improving your focus. Boxercise improves mental concentration, increases footwork movement and whole body timing. As a result, this could improve your all together day to day self-discipline.

Q  Will I lose Weight doing your Boxercise classes?

A.    If you need to lose some weight, boxercise offers a fun and frantic way to burn off the calories. It can help weightloss but has to be in conjunction with a healthy, balanced diet.  A combination of training techniques elevates the heart rate and boosts the cardiovascular system, whilst working out a variety of key areas.
